It's built to perform at it's best from the factory. It's a beautiful bird but if you are new to flying the tail dragger takes some getting used to. Also the gull wing configuration makes it a bit squirrely at landing speeds.

The Parkzone Wildcat is another great flying, fairly fogiving warbird being a mid wing like the Trojan.

I like that one too, but it's not a RTF.

They do have an RTF version. I would also recommend a better radio than the RTF 4-channel.

+1, even an entry level computer radio like the DX6i is light years beyond being stuck with the pre-programmed settings they come with. Being able to tune how a bird "feels" in the air is priceless, for me at least.

What's the difference between MD2 and mode 2when looking at the DX6i? I might just go ARF, cause who am I kidding, I'm sure I'll lov R/C'n in the air just as much as I do on the ground so I might as well get a decent radio first. My whole logic behind RTF was I didn't want to spend more than I have to just to see if I like flying.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm picking up a 1200 T-28 with the crash proofing C/F rods, flaps, and cockpit camera (thought the camera was a cool factor) from killer planes. I also picked up a DX8

Excellent choice on the DX8. I have the DX7 and I use it for helis. Once you get familiar with the menu options, it's easy to adjust in the field for anything you want.
