has anyone tried to install an electric motor in their savage. i just got mine and would like to run it inside sometimes with out the S-25. i was thinking i could put one on top of the tranny. but that might require another radio. anybody have any thoughts?

It has been done before, I think something about it on Savage-Central or something. I remmember that someone posted pics orf a like to a electric savage a long time ago. Hope this helps lol.

i think it would be somewhat costly and i little to big to play indoors maybe get a mini t or something 1/18 scale

I remember reading an article in RCDrive magazine recently about a conversion called.... RIPSAW E-Savage. I'll see if I can't scan some pics....

I've seen some brushless 12-14 cell savages over on savagecentral, and I've seen the conversion kit (has all you need except motor, batts, esc.) for like 160$. a 14 cell savage with a hacker brushless in it would be awesome, more torque than you can give away, and 0-40mph yesterday. would cost big bucks to do though.

i dont want it to replace the nitro i just want it in there if i ever wanted to run it around my apartment complex without wasting fuel.
