Washed the truck and now it will steer but won't move. An ideas on the prblem?

Its a electric scx10iii bronco. I didn't dry it, I propped it and at angle thinking it would drain.
The esc is stock like everything else, I don't know if its waterproof. Could it be the motor?

The most likely culprit is the esc. I'm not familiar with the electronics on that model but most crawler stuff is water proof.

How long ago did you wash it?

I would start by blowing it dry with compressed air. Make sure there is no moisture in any of the electrical connections.

Are there any lights on the esc? Do they come on?

In the future, never wash the chassis with water and let it air dry. Always dry it with compressed air. Otherwise you'll end up with a rusty RC. It's also a good idea to apply light amounts of your choice of lubricants to any metal parts/screws that you don't want to rust.

Ill check the lights I washed it just sprayed it off, I've been wanting a brushless motor and esc, do I need a remote if I switch to brushless?
An thanks for the washing tip

turn rc upside down. put a fan on it fr 24 hours. rebind radio to receiver. then recalibrate esc.not every rc had good waterproofing.

Could it be the motor?

I washed it about five minutes and angled it to dry, and it steers gqood.just won't move and doesn't make a sound when trying to move

How long ago was it wet? Long enough for rust to form? That's about the only reason the motor would get hurt.

Does the motor rotate freely?

What about the lights on the esc? Does it light up? What are the lights doing? Blinking, steady etc. Do the lights respond to throttle command from the transmitter?

Also, did you try to re bind and re learn the esc as suggested? Is your battery fully charged? What type of battery are you using? Lipo or Nimh?

I'm using a Lipo battery, and it was wet long enough to form rust, i don't know how to rebind my controller, and I will try the lights to see what it does.
