wats better elec. or nitro?

I'm goin nitro all the way baby b/c u can drive nitro all day long without even stopping if u have ur engine tuned good but elec. u gotta charge batteries.

oh by the way what do u guys think of this idea, a hydrid rc. that would be sick and also kik the poop out of ur bank tho.

yes, nitro can run all day. just keep in mind, at roughly $20/gallon it does add up. If you want to run all day with electric it requires the money up front. Buy yourself 4 or 5 good sport packs and you'll have enough to run, cool, charge, repeat all day long as well. As long as you take care of them they will last years.

Do us all a favor too. Please do not use that I'm slang, text message crap here. You will find more people willing to take the time to help you if you take the time to use real words. Thanks.

As far as comparing nitro to electric, that's like comparing apples to oranges. They are totally different and each has it's pro's and cons, depending on what you want to do with them.

Titling a thread with a question and then answering it is sorta pointless don't you think?

at roughly $20/gallon

You can buy nitro for $20 per gallon? I have to drive an hour one way and pay $30 per gallon

I buy by the case and it comes to roughly $21 shipped. Usually buy 2 cases at a time

Thats cheap! I wish I had someone near me to split a case with, last summer I burned a whole 1 1/2 gallons. I would hate to waste all of that fuel.

LOL, one of our club members is a Byrons dealer. He has to order a minimum of 8 cases so usually there's enough of us to make the order. I've burned about 16 gallons this year.

Man I wish I could even get it for $40 a gallon. I am in Okinawa Japan and nitro is no poor mans sport here. So I cut food and ride a bike more often and go with-out clothes to afford ......$53 a gallon....yes you heard me right. It just about kills me. :constipat So I waste none what-so-ever.....ever. Yeah I miss state side prices. I will never gripe about the price tag on that again....lol. Good thing beer is cheap or I would really be sunk.

Man I can top that.

How does $60+ a gallon sound.......:depress:

But still nitro is where it's at for me. I just recently got rid of all my electric stuff. Also now that I'm approaching 3 years experience level, it's getting easier for me to maintain my engines. And they seem to last me a lot longer too.

Wow sorry to hear that. It makes the hobby a bit rough doesn't it? I only have one electric...because I just love the smell of burning nitro...

Well it's not just the fuel that's expensive, everything in this hobby is expensive over here.

A LST2 over here cost around $900, just to give you an idea.

It may be expensive, but there are far worse things I could spend my time and money on.

And I just love the sound and feel of driving a nitro RC. :)

I run Nitro, gas and electric. For casual bashing it's the electric because all I have to do is charge a battery. For the nitro fix, I have to buy fuel, charge the RX battery and find a place to bash. For gas it's fill the gas can and get some 2-stroke oil and make sure the RX battery is charged and look for lots of open space.
