The Revo is good for bashing and racing. The Savage is the stouter basher of the 2, but couldn't hold a candle to the Revo racing. The Savage is tougher, but the Revo is pretty stout as well.

what would you pick for a guy that lives on a farm with alot of terrain?

I'd go with a Savage if I wasn't going to be racing. I've never owned one, but a lot of respected members of the site praise them, and that's all I need to hear.:) And I've seen videos of them getting slaughtered. They just keep coming back for more.

I own one of each. I think both of them are great trucks, but I don't even take the Revo out for bashing anymore. If racing is not a concern, hands down the Savage X is the way to go. I have destroyed the body that came with the truck from doing back flips, dragging the bumper with the front wheels in the air and things like that, and all that I have broken has been 1 spur gear, and lost the set screw out of the front drive shaft. The 4.6 is also twice as powerful, twice as durable, and much easier to tune compared to the 3.3. My Revo really shines at the track though, it will almost keep up with the 1/8 buggies. If my driving skills were a little better, it might be an even race. IMO, it really boils down to you plan to do with the truck.

all i plan on doing with the truck is bashing and jumping is all.

I'll have to admit that I love the Revo. I will also say that it i very stout and reliable. For what you want to do I, too, would recommend the Savage. The new ones now come with a 2.4 GHz radio that has a built in fail safe.

Found what I was looking for right here... Now my question is where to find the best deal on a RTR Savage X? Thanks

Join the super saver club at tower hobbies. Hpi also has some killer rebates in place right now. It is a good time to buy anything made by Hpi.:)
