eight dying

my team losi eight will onlly starts when i gas it. If i let off then gas it dies right away. I as wondering if it was to lean or rich. I am new with tuning and i suck at it. thanks for the help

I'm pretty sure it's an idling problem. When you throttle, you're opening up the carb hole. If you idle, you keep your carb hole in a closed position. Too closed and your engine will not get the sufficient amount of air to keep the engine alive. Try opening the carb hole a bit.

Sounds like a lean low end needle. Try richening your low end needle about 1/16th of a turn.
