Just got a brand new flm front center drive today from an eBay seller,so I grabbed a beer, sat down all excited and stuff, and right off the bat the tranny cup wouldn't fit the brake disk, upon inspection I noticed that one of the brake disc pins wasn't pressed completely and is slightly cocked,...has anyone received one like this? Is it just the seller that buys poop? Or just my luck? .....damn it ,I'm sure I could get the pin proper but wtf! ...

..I just realized I should of posted this in the free for all,..damn it! .....I think it is a knock off,I will be taking action.!

i bought the same kit for my 4907 and had all kinds off dramas with that cup, everything went together ok but when i went to screw the pin in it was like it was off centre or something took about an hour and 5 pins later and it still dont quite fit right, works but i'm real picky about driveline components

I was so caught up in the cup that I didn't even realize that the bone is too short,..damn it!,

is it possible you bought the short chassis one?
i bought the short chassis center steel cvd from traxxas for the short version and i still had problems. ended up grinding the c-cup deeper and deepened the grooves along with giving the grooves a taper at the top to not catch the dogbone shaft also grinded the top domed section of the dogbone flatter. alot of work for something thats supposed to work. think i got the 4949R parts for a 2.5 classic black trans

I've purchased all my FLM parts from Ebay and never had any problems at all.
The only problem i know of is the front dog bone is to long and it binds. (on the extended ICE chassis)
It's very possible you got a defective part, call FLM directly and tslk to them. If you do call do it early in the morning, right as they open or you will never get a hold of them.
I'm curious, who was the seller. PM me if you dont want to say it publicly.

I bought that same kit and it fit fine but the dog bone was way too short. So i used a 77mm hpi bone instead. Same bone on rear with the traxxas cups. Havnt had any problems out of either till i lost the screw pins in both yesterday. But thats an easy fix too. Just replaced the pins.

i did the same thing with the hpi dogbone on the front
the flm kit that is on ebay is for the flm extended chassis kit so you can use the new style brake setup but to do it you also need to change the output shaft on the trans to make it all work
what lenght is the dogbone that can with your kit mine is 56mm which is way to short

56 sounds about right I haven't had any time to measure it today, been painting my step daughters bedroom, just finished 20 minutes ago,I contacted the seller and he said he would take care of things no matter what,he even sent an email to flm directly,....does flm even make a bone for the extended traxxas plate?if not then I will just send it back and spend my 25$ on something else,I can't see spending 25$ on a couple drive cups, and Still another 8$ on hpi bone,if I could just get the drive cup with the brake pins I would be happy!

thats unfortunatly the only way you are going to get the front to match rear, unless anyone knows a easier way to do it??

So does anyone know of a dogbone cup with the brake pins,or a cup that's big enough to be drilled to except two pins? At 25$ plus another 10 for a different bone I will get my $ back and make my own cup

!!!!UPDATE!

flm called me directly today,no email, by telephone, they said they were gonna send me the right bone free of charge
