Time to stick my foot in my mouth!!! In the "Electrics suck " thread i had posted that electrics were for girls.....well... call me shirley and throw some tits on my chest!! I've recently bought an X-Ray T1R kit and got all my electronics hooked and motor in and started racing in the stock touring class and WOW!!! These things kick ass !!!

I can't beleive the handling of these cars and there speed! I started to practice at my LHS that has a pretty good sized indorr carpet track and ran my first race on friday night .I had a freakin blast!! I qualified 3rd and finished third in the main out of 6 cars in that main!

Anyway, just wanted to eat my previous words about electrics as i can tell I'm going to be getting into this racing thing pretty heavily!!!!

I've always know electrics were fast and agile. There's more indoor tracks here than outdoor. I just prefer the smell of nitro. Also don't like the down time waiting for the peak charger to finish.

Just as with nitro, the electrics need maintainance witht he battery and motors yadda yadda yadda but they do kick ass.

Electric touring does kick-ass. Right now its my favorite class to race. I still like nitro though, nothing like a nitro truck screaming around the track:smoke:

Yeah i still love my savage but I'm getting bit really hard by the electric racing bug !!1 Even tho i just biult my X-RAY for touring racing, yesterday i went out and got a Associated Factory Team L4 oval car!!! So now i can race nascar oval on wednesday and touring cars on friday!!! :radio:

I like both, so I bought a few of each. I get in different moods and I play with the one that suits it. I do know Diver that I don't see 1/10th the downtime with my electrics as I have with nitros, could be me granted. And I get a few packs so I can run til my motor wants to pop!! Batts are as cheap or cheaper than fuel. Not trying to be biased because I love the poop out of my nitros that has just been my experience. Also all my electrics are 1/18th

Electrics are cool. I like being able to drive in my yard any time without using up any 'neighbor karma'. The fastest guy at my local track drives a Losi XXX-4 4wd electric and it is amazingly fast with a brushed motor. That is also the car the Hacker Brushless guys drove most at rcx, jumping over and through hovering planes. My next car will be a xxx-4 with either a novak or hacker brushless.
