Hi everyone,
running my savage easter was a bit fun, but when I was trying to get it into the corner and stop something stranged happened, it din't stop at all!

It went over board, top first into a gutter. All that was visable its four wheels.

I think my electronics is shot, the engine still works ( i cleaned it and started it up and it ran a tank)

Check under the truck to find out why I could not have stopped; there it was, the pin that held the break hub onto the tranny was missing. And my antenna wire ended up by my exhaust and it cut just 4 inches from the reciever.

Prior to all this, I got shaffed from a hobby shop in suriname, they told me a screw set, steel spur (GD) and a racing clutch bell for $170us.

The screw kit came with hex heads, and they are really soft. They round out easily, and are stucked in; Any idea on getting these out ?

There are a couple of ways I use to get a striped hex out. First is if you have a spare hex key like say the cheap ones that come with the rig, and go for one just a bit bigger than the hex head screw. You can sometimes get that to work if you wedge the key in just right. You can also take a little CA or JB weld and actually atatch the key to the screw. This usually ruins the key hince the reason for using the cheap ones. This usually works for me, but sometimes there is nothing else you can do but drill it out and see if you can salvage the part. Hope this helps. Good luck

Tom

If you have enough access to it, cut a slot in the screw head with a dremel and unscrew it with a flat head screwdriver.

You could always get a screw extractor. I don't have one myself, but I believe it's basically a drill bit in reverse. It catches the screw and pulls it out instead of making a hole though, unlike a drill bit.
