where can i buy one of these and what would be the price for it? Is it worth spending the extra money on one of these rather than getting a nitro? I'm just gona be a weekend warrior jumping and stuff like that plus I'm a newb

Not available yet.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWGD0**&P=ML

There is a $60 off coupon code on Towers front page. If you first become a saver member for $10, there is a $100 off coupon code and you get free shipping.

Keep in mind you will need a pair of Lipo batts to really bring this beast alive along with a quality lipo charger and balancer.

Nitro guys will say buy a nitro.
Electric guys will say buy the electric.
Personally, I say piss on nitro and get the EREVO brushless.

When will it be available? and say i became a member got that coupon and bought the batteries what do you think the final cost will be? I figured i would go electric cuz i really dont want to have to tune it everytime i run it.....also would it run pretty fast with all of this and about how long would the batteries last

Here are some battery options.

http://www.maxamps.com/products.php?cat=172

The EREVO Brushless can take any of them.

The more mah's, the longer the runtime.

The more volts, the faster it will go.

Lipo's are not cheap, but well worth it over nimh packs.

Nitro is far better lol. i have had e-maxxs and revo and all sorts of both and I always come back to nitro simply because in order to get any power/run time from an electric you have to spend tons..just my .02

dang idk what to do. I dont want to have to tune and mess with a nitro all the time but i dont want to spend bookoo money just get a electric to run fast. Can someone give me a estimated price if i get a e-revo brushless plus the good batteries

dang idk what to do i dont want to have to tune and mess with nitro everytime i run it but i also dont want to have to spend bookoo money just to get a electric to run fast. can someone give a a estimated price if i get a e-revo brushless with the good batteries. and the estimated price if i get a Jato with the gas and everything

tuning is part of the hobby. youll love it i swear. i would go with an educated guess of around 700 to 900 dollars to compete with a 3.3. I'm really not up to date on the brushless kits out there i dont own anything electric. i would imagine after the esc and fans and all the fancy lipo batteries you would be in that ball park but dont quote me on that.

I gave you the links to come up with an estimated cost yourself.

The truck is a fixed cost. Just add the battery packs and such you are interested in.

OUCH! lol yea that is outta my pricerange by alot lol I'm looking at more of the right at or under 500 range lol revo 3.3 is it rough and tough?

yeah the revo is really durable especially the new one with FOC

just made the jump

I got into rc the first time a long time ago and even then the initial cost of electric was cheaper...then I got upset over running 15 minutes then waiting on the charger so I got more batteries, then hot swapping batteries all afternoon on a fast charger smoked the batteries in a very short time so I once again was buying another battery set. If I recall, I had just found the manufacturer of the individual cells and was going to order a case so I could make my own battery packs when my Kyosho Ultima (yeah, it was 1987) decided to play it's own version of 52 pickup. There are way cheaper ways to get batteries than the insano markup lipo setup i've been looking at but even still I also chose nitro over electric. Granted, fuel isn't all that cheap either but for someone like myself who wants to get more than one run/ hour without all the money tied up into batteris it seemed the more sensible solution. I am expecting (tomorrow) my first nitro RC and will be posting on here all the things good or bad that I encounter with my choice in a separate thread, when i have information to post, under the REVO thread. I'm a tinkerer anyway..in fact i'm an army helicopter maintenance test pilot, and hope I'll be able to figure the tuning on this pencil piston popper to keep it moving. I just hope I find a way to get fuel soon. Nothing more frustrating than being all dressed up with no place to go.:\
