whats the diffrence between a brushless E revo and a regular E revo (obviously a diffrent motor but i mean like for a beginner). i have a nitro but i hate the tuning and the breaking all the time and i seen a E revo at my local track and it was Kicking A$$. it rilly amazed me and made me want to switch to electric instead of nitro. the only thing is is that the guy was running the burshless E revo and thats a little out of my budget atm. so does anyone know how those 2 compete and if its worth it to spend more and get the brushless one? thanks

Brushless is faster. With a Brushless Motor, it allows you to run Lipos, while with the regular E-Revo, you'd be stuck running the standard nimH batteries. That's really all I know about the 2, if it's correct. I just know that any battery you put in a Brushless E-Revo, as compared to a standard E-Revo, the Brushless will be faster.

You can run Lipos in the Brushed Revo just as you can in the Brushless Revo.
The Brushless Revo has different motor/ESC and motor plate as well as having 17mm splined hexes.

I would just save some extra coin and get the Brushless truck to begin with.

I have the standard ERevo that I raced last year using a pair of 2S Lipos. I ran against an EMaxx and a few nitros on a tight on-road course. I had no competition and would easily cruise to a victory. The EMaxx could stay with me in the straights, but once we entered the infield with all the turns, it was all over. The EMaxx just doesn’t have the handling ability. The nitros just got in the way.

This year I don’t just want to win, but win big and humiliate the field so I am upgrading to the Mamba Monster setup. I will be running the same 2S batts so I will be able to get a good comparison with the brushed setup.

It will be up and running this weekend once I pick up some more male deans connectors.

If I were you I would just save the coin and get the brushless edition from the get go. It is a much cheaper route to go.

I agree. I also have the standard ERevo and a BL Emaxx and the EMAXX just can't handle like the ERevo can. There are very few things that the two trucks have in common with each other. I just bought the Novak BL setup for my ERevo so that will be going in soon I hope. I also agree with Robmob... save the money and get the BL edition.
