Do you need to buy a new transmiter with the 2 speed conversion for the E-MAXX if not then what do you need to shift gears. Thanks.

If your E-Maxx has a 3-channel transmitter, then all you need to do is to plug the shift servo into the 3rd channel and you're good.

what transmitter do you have, if it is a 2channel link you could add your own switches to it instead of buying a 3ch. my 2238 2channel, uses 4channels. 3rd for gear shifting 4th for led lights. Put a capacitor in 5 as i have nothing to use in there.
