e-maxx conversion

Hi everyone, can you convert a E-maxx to a T-maxx? or would it be easyer to convert a sport-maxx? Or just scrap the whole thing and Buy a T-maxx from a hobby shop?

It would be easiest to convert to a T-Maxx. You would need the chassis, engine, gas tank and trans. Those are the major things.

I bet you could get the trans off ebay for cheaper.

With that listing NASCARnut, you're pushing awefully close to the price of a new T-Maxx.

I recommend just buying a full fledged T-Maxx. Then you have the power of Nitro to run and gun as you see fit, and you have the electric for those areas where you need to keep things quiet.

Are the Sport-Maxxs any good?

I prefer a four wheel drive vehicle, but here's something to think about. A two wheel drive with one of the best engines on the market strapped in. The thing is light, agile, and fast. It also has everything that a T-Maxx has (excepting the four wheel drive). To convert it to four wheel drive shouldn't be too hard if you feel the need...for four wheeling.

Just an assessment based on what I've read and seen online...haven't seen one in action.

Yeah, I said it would be the easiest as far as converting but you might as well get a whole new truck.

The SportMaxx dosen't have the two speed either.

The sport maxx lacks three things that the T-Maxx has. Four wheel drive, Two speed, and Reverse module. Thats about it. The reverse is probably a bad thing because it makes the entire drivetrain alot heavier. Bogs down engine alot more! Just get the Sport maxx and get 4wheel drive and 2spd. Cheaper. Use the extra money to buy nitro and Stuff like that. I know you have batt+charger becuz of yo e-maxx. Good luck on your purchase.
