I asked a friend of mine what he thought of a brushless motor in the E-maxx
He said that the e-maxx wasn't made for it an that i have to change almost everything before it can work properly.
is this true. :\
what do i have to change then (if its true)

The older E-maxx tranny can't take the power, it'll chew it up or burn the slipper. Upgrade to the newer tranny if you can. I'm no e-maxx guru but i know traxxas tranny's are not the strongest out there.

All you need is the RC4WD aluminum gears, thats what I have in mine and I have no problems at all, I also repalced all the drive shafts and cvd's with the MIP stuff only because it wasn't holding up with stock motor setup, and it is pretty bullet proof. http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=384
