Hey guys,

I am full on going to get a new engine for my Savage and well I am thinking of getting a Dynamite Mach 26. Horizon hobby has them for $139.99. Does anyone have any relevant experience with this engine. I am also thinking of the XTM 24/7 pro. Which honestly looks like the same motor to me. Mach 26 XTM PRO

I can not make up my mind. I know I have heard way good things about the XTM motor. Help

Well, I don;t have experince with that XTM, but as a new guy to nitro a month or two ago I can tell you about my .18

I have about a gallon through my XTM .18 actually a gallon and a quart. It runs like a dream. Keep in mind this is my frist nitro lol. It's been pretty forgiving for me.

I did want to say something about XTM customer service. If ANYTHING goes wrong with that motor, and it's from their fault, or the fualt of manufacturing, you can bet you will be taken care of quick, and politely. So if customer service, and worries aboput warranty are a deciding factor, go XTM all the way.

*edit* Wether it was my fault or not, I got a spur gear aten up, and it whacked on the A-arm. The same day I mailed them, they had two spur gears in the mail, and a full set of arms. Free of charge. It got here in 3 days too.

Well what's funny here is the dynamite is $139.99 and the XTM is $179.99. If you look at them they are the same exact friggin motor. Even right down to the horespower. Displacement may be a little different. I am leaning towards the 24/7 just cuz I know where locally and online to get parts for it. Not sure if horizon hobby offers a good parts availability for the dynamite. I know Xtm is good stuff.

I put the XTM 24.7 in my savage and it ripped. did not have any probles what so ever.

the mach .26 and xtm 24.7/24.7 pro have different cases. they definatly are not the same motor. even the engine head although similar is different. i have a 24.7 standard with the big head and it is very reliable and powerful..i have never heard of anything about the mach 26, although people that have ran the xtm standard and pro say the pro definatly has more rip than a standard 24.7...and the 24.7 has alot of low end rip.

Just get the XTM! Everybody that has one has good things to say about it so, I don't think you can go wrong there!

Man this thread is old. EP to answer your question the specs are in the first link I provided for the mach 26

I know it's a totaly different engine, but the mach .15 has a seriousl problem with wrist pins letting loose (I had one give out on me) I haven't heard a lot of bad about mach .26's, but then again not a lot of good either.

from what I hear its alot of bang for your buck but the picco or wasp .26 I've heard is alot better. I ended up getting the Picco for the same price as the Mach. Ebay is a wonderful place.
