Dynamite .28 pullstart options?

I live this engine, but the pull start part is junk. I'm wondering if the HPI back plate and pull start is a direct fit. If not can anyone recommend an upgrade or replacement to the dynamite pull start?

I am pretty sure you can just throw on a savage backplate it should fit right on

Ya I tried that..the one bearing plate of the savage backplate impacts on the piston skirt. I managed to repair the pull start..it'll hold for now
