Well after a long decision, I've decided to go with the Dynamite 1/8 pipe for my Savage. I was wondering if it is quiet and still performs. I'm mostly looking for quiet because the stock pipe is soo annoying to my neighbors and they just complain. It would also be cheaper becuase its from my lhs. Is that a good choice or what and would it fit the Picco? Thats what I'm getting after the .21bb blows up.

I'd ask the police department what the local noise decibal level is acceptable in your area and find out how loud your savage actually is with the stock pipe (my rough guess is that the savage is under 100db). I am literally going deaf from years of not using earplugs when I should have but my savage with the stock pipe does not seem too loud to use during the normal waking hours of others.

Did you ever run it on the street, when it hits the streeet it must jump up another 100db.

that's funny. dB is not a linear scale. in other words 200 dB is not twice as loud as 100 db. here is a little chart:

do you see the "pain threshold" at 125 dB?

basically you ears would be bleeding if you savage was 200db. that or your head would explode.

if a lawnmower is 90 dB, i doubt a savage is 100 dB.

if you can find a pipe that lowers the sound level 3-5 dB, that's a great improvement.

I saw that chart somewhere, but I just can't put my finger on it. O well, I think that my savage needs a Decible meter or something. I just can't figure out how much.

the picco makes it 10db louder over the 21bb or 8 port.. its LOUD vs them.. i have also heard that pipe is loud to start with..

i have a duratraxx pipe.. its pretty quiet.. but my tsais pipe rules in the sound catagory..

Hows the performance, if its a performer, its got the three goodies- Looks, Speed, and Sound.
