I know how to dye rims, but is dying the wing the same as dyeing the wheels. they seem to be made of the same material, but i'm not sure.

most likely it is the same material. the dye will go on just like the rims. i have no experience wiht buggy parts nor dying parts but if its the smae material then it should work. dip a little part of the wing into the dye as a test piece or better yet see if you can find an old one.
