Is duratrax a cheap brand? I like the new warhead evo. Some say its a good truck others say its horrible. There is a 3 year motor warrenty and 1 year stress tech. What do you guys think of the truck? Thanks

:goodpost:

Stay away from it like the plague (sp?)!

Don't guess it's quite that bad...
Step up from smart tech, but not a big step.
Just not a lot of support or aftermarket parts.

I've never been around a Warhead. But I have had Duratrax before. Still got one....

Go with a Savage or Revo if ya have the money.
Don't have the money.
Look at the MT2 or the XTM X-term. I'm sure the other guys will make some suggestions.

Whats wrong with them? Also is there any other tuck that can go from tall to stadium truck size? Thanks

Duratrax engines (almost called them motors - shame on me! I'll go sit in the corner now) are known for grenading VERY easily. Buddy of mine had one that literally threw a bearing. One of the balls from the front bearings ended up sitting on top of the piston.

Every other duratrax engine I've seen has had leaking front bearings.

Their cars are just about as bad. Do yourself a favor; get a used traxxas or hpi truck; you'll be glad you did.

Ok thanks. The duratrax is very adjustable as far as the height goes. Is there any other trucks that are more or equally as much height adjustable? Thanks again.

most of the moster trucks can run ground dragging low, up to hop heavy high, its just a matter of shock adjustment, and using internal spacers

I had a duratrax nitro bx, and it was pretty decent, engine-wise. Engine held a good tune, plenty of power, started on 2 pulls. The car was fragile, I will give you that much. Speed doesn't mean much when you barely nick a rock in the road and snap a front a-arm off. I only bought that car because it was the only nitro 2 wheel drive buggy at the time.
