Me and @luke66 had a convo earlier.

Are they closing down or something?
I use their paints, and had used some of their tires.

Almost all of the paints are on backorder and all the old tires I used to use are either backorder, discontinued, out of stock or really cheap.

When I got my set of lockup MTs and six pack SCs, they were about 60 bucks. From what I heard before they removed them from the sites, they were 40.

Some of their crawler tires and bigger scale tires, and parts are still up. Maybe they are just going out of the paints and lower size tires. 🤷‍♂️

I've been wondering the same thing, I could see Horizon closing up Duratrax since they also own Proline tires.

Either way, it'd be a loss for us hobbyists. They made some decent, CHEAP, on-road tires for the Traxxas Slash. I like Proline tires but they are not cheap, but I guess HH wants to push their more profitable brands.

Where can I buy those from?
I buy them from any hobby shop I order stuff from... in Europe, sorry :)

Usually 20ish euros (or $) per pair of short course premounts... available in Tekno/SCTE offset. Proline is just too expensive for the quality. I go with alternatives whenever I can (JConcepts bodies for example, good stuff).

For paints I go with Ghiant (and rebrands), I believe Traxxas and some others rebrand their stuff too. Half the price of Tamiya cans.

YES
FINALLY
they restocking my colors in august/September
Guess they'll still be sticking around. Ill check to see how their wheel/tire collection/stock is going.

Well After using some of the New ProLine paints I'm impressed on how the paint came out. Came out better I feel like than some of the duratrax paints I had. But, can be because of the colors. some colors are more lighter and thinner while some are more heavier and thicker. Plus the duratrax paints I have I bought literally over a year ago so... But I do like on how on the Proline rattle cans they have a huge nozzle. The nozzle on the duratrax cans were/are very small. (As much as I don't like to support Horizon...) Ill just probably keep ProLine colors in my stock for now on when my old duratrax paints run out. Hopefully they used the same colors as duratrax. I believe they did. Proline paint in metallic black and red look exactly like duratrax paints i used last decade. Lol. I get why they try to get rid of old companies they own and merge some of those brands products to their more main stream brands like duratrax to proline and dynamite to spektrum. But... the vets in the RC hobby like me kinda don't like that. That nostalgia feeling just goes away since they are practically ruining something over. You know?

I wouldn't care if they merged 2 companies and gave us something better. They don't.
They take 2 companies and mash them together. Then each blames the other half for why the products aren't as good and cost twice as much as they did before the merger.

THIS is how we end up with fish trucks and an entirely missing race team.

Stop supporting them.

Don't think of it like the other paint costs a dollar more, think of it like you're donating a dollar to a company that ISN'T owned by HH...YET!!!
