Duratrax ext runs for a few seconds then dies

Hi all

I'm jew to the forum. I have been a RC boat novice for about 4 years. Now with my boys and there friends we are into RC Cars.

We recived 3 new Duratrax EXT and they are great stock for our 7 year olds.

On of the trucks would run for a few seconds. say 30 then die. ESC passed the 5 second finger touch. Batteries also. Motor was hot but did not smell.

THe other 2 trucks where running fine.

Any answers?

we will not be upgrading the ESC or motors.................

we ant to keep stock.

Swap motors with one of the other cars. That will tell you if it is the motor or the ESC is bad. Also check the on/off switch and make sure everything is plugged in good on the rx.
Duratrax does have good customer service, they'll replace what's broken. They have too, their products do not have a very good reputation for reliability.

WE tested the motor directly to a battery and it ran, then again to the ESC and did not run, unplugged the battery and plugged it in again adn ran

i think its the ESC
