I bought an Evader a few months ago, and have had problems ever since. It runs good one day, and won't even get going the next. I thought it was the ESC, so I sent it back to Duratrax. They said nothing wrong.

Then, I called Tower Hobbies, and said I wanted to send it back. They said they have a known problem with the motors!! Something about the motor brushes being too soft.

Does anyone know about this??

Yes, replace the brushless. They wear out very fast on the Evader. Ones you change them I heard the stock engine runs like a dream.

Yes, I replaced my brushes, and that worked wonders. But, it seems you have to clean them every run. My LHS tells me that this is the worst motor for maintenance. It runs great for a bettery, and then start dying out and gets choppy.

I'll probably go with another motor real soon.

Geez, solves my problem. I got an evader a couple of months ago cuz I wanted an electric truck for quick and clean bashing. Had the same problem. I'll change the brushes. :)

Try getting a faster motor, I think the stock ESC can handle up to a 12 Turn Double or something. The lower the turns, the faster! Its only like 50 bucks for a D5 which is like the O.S.'s of the electric motor world. Speed is good isnt it?

Yeah, I was looking for a quick and easy truck to have my 7 year old play with. Its been broke or soemthing for the last few months. I'll get a slightly mod motor to help him keep up with my E-maxx.

Thanks,
