Duratrax Cliff climber

It is a very new truck so there will probably not be a lot of after-market parts for a little while. Another problem is not everyone makes parts for Duratrax. I did a quick search and came up with pretty much nothing for hop-up parts. If you have not bought the Cliff Climber already I would look at the Axial AX-10. Tons of parts support there.

Ya i already have it :( OH well maybe they will make something in the future.

I wouldn't count on a lot of hop ups. But crawling is all about fabricating something that you need. The duratrax was designed to be used like it is and thats about it. Duratrax itself usually has at least a few hop ups out for their rigs, but I don't think that the crawler went over like they were hoping. You could sell it, and buy an axial kit or the losi crawler if you really want a mini. The losi is really nice, but if you're not specially looking for a mini, you can build a nice axial 2.2 rig for about the same price. If you decide to sell the duratrax, let me know. I just might buy it and build a bunch of custom parts for it. If there's any demand, I may sell those parts.

The AX10 comes in a kit?

OK i found the kit through google thats a nice looking truck for the money but whats it take to build it. I mean the cliff climber was an rtr i have never built a kit b4. What kind of radio would i need? And the aluminum Posts?? Not sure if i like that setup maybe a solid frame. Is that more of an independent frame doesn't seem very sturdy you know!

That frame is EXACTLY what you need of you're wanting to have a rock crawler. The AX-10 is a kit, but it the ARTR is about the same price, is already built, and comes with some upgrades that the kit doesn't have. For the radio, you could probably use the radio system that's on your duratrax.

You would need:
motor and ESC- anywhere from $40 - $200
Battery - $20
Servo- $12 (MG995, 200+ oz/in of tourqe
radio system ($20 to $500, and everywhere in between. A $20 RTR radio system will work just fine)

That's pretty much the only things that you'll need to buy. If you have any questions about crawling, building a crawler, etc... just let me know. Feel free to PM me with any questions that you might have. I'm no veteran or anything, but I have built some crawlers and I've helped several of the members on here get their crawlers and get them set up and everything.

The artr I'm looking at has the XC-1 body. The specs say for the diffs Differentials: Locked style (spool), high tolerance sintered locker
On the cliff climber i have it has no diffs. Is this true for the axial??
