you're probably about the 2nd person who's ever brought up axis on this sight, me being the 1st one!! i haven't had any trouble w/it other than pulling the pull rope out of it. the engine's a little under powered, but other than that, i don't think it can be broke. i've completely and totally abused it, more than any of my other rc's, and it just keeps on going like the energizer bunny. are you wanting to purchase one or do you already have one?

yes, I just bought an "used" AXIS from ebay...
the guy said it just had 5 tanks of gas thru it... I just hope the Axis stills in good shape but anyway it was a good deal (I think) $205 shipped.
I don't have it yet but I'm really looking forward for my Axis.
do you have any tips for me??

yeah, about the only tip i can get you us get an extra pull start and upgrading to something in the os family. while you're upgrading the engine, you can also upgrade it to use a starter box. other than that, those are the only flaws i've seen in it yet. by all means, this isn't anything to go take out to the track and expect to be a winner. but it is great for the yard. and hey, it'll smoke the stock savage 21 top end.

I'm not gonna bring this car to compete, it's just to have fun with some friends because we all have T-MAXXES and I'm trying something a little different....
And I just heard good things about this Duratrax model and I really liked it's price, so I decided to buy it.

hey IMNOTSURE....
My axis had just arrived today....
the funny thing is... when I started to clean it I notice some particles of grass inside of the carb... so, I decided to take the cooling head apart... not for my surprise the whole top was covered with particles of grass....
I'm gonna clean it tomorrow but I hope I don't have to buy a new set of piston/sleeve....
any recomendatios???

about the only thing i can say is start looking for a new engine or clean out the one you have and hope the piston/sleeve is not trashed. just make sure after you clean it out, most likely it will be some solvent of some sort, that you lube everyting w/AR oil before trying to start it up. sorry to hear about that. that's pretty cheasy that another person got scammed from ebay. i'm beginnning to have second thoughts about ebay. did they say anything about the engine being in good shape?

I did a very good cleaning service with HPI nitro cleaner and denatured alcohol yesterday night and today morning I put everything together again...(with lots of AR oil)
the piston/sleeve look good no major damage at all, but this guy from who I bought it didn't say anything about the engine with Grass inside....
I think I was lucky because I just decided clean the car before put it to run...
I cannot imagine all the damage it could have caused if I tried to run without cleaning....
now I just need better springs for all shocks and street tires...

my first truck was a Kyosho Ultima EP sports.... my second was a Kyosho Pure ten alpha..... after that I got my T-maxx then my AXIS..... but today's my T-maxx is being my pain.... I tried that .26 "drop in" and I'm having trouble ever since...... I may get a rid of it and I'll get a REVO instead.
