i just got a duratrax axis off ebay the other day. all 4 wheels are broke. i am trying to get new rims and tires for it but have not had any luck yet the nut that holds them on are (19) i was told that most 1/8 cars use (17) nuts.so any help from all of my brothers in r/c land please help.:buggy1: :redbuggy:

Welcome to the forum.

I have played with that buggy and the hex looked the same as standard 1/8th scale rims.

i seen them but would like to run something different on it. but thanks for your help. and yes it does have a 19 mm hex.

Good info Bro. Thanks for that. I have only driven the axis but not looked into it. Thanks for looking out Bro.

Here is a link to an old post. https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18670
Might help? I would measure the axles and call to make sure the i.d. was right before I ordered. That would get you to where you could use any kind of rim if it worked.

The 19's are a bastard size. An different hub is about the only option you will have if ya don't want the original wheels.

According to a google search:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=19mm+hex+buggy+rims

And in the first result;

Here an excerpt of text from the second post;

The RTR uses a not-so-standard 19mm hex on the wheels so you would need to convert to 17mm or look for the more difficult to find 19mm wheels for it.

The buggy in question is the MP7.5 RTR, by Kyosho. Keep in mind, the rims might be a different offset. But, that should open up your options just a hair.

Hope that helps!

edit; later in that thread they discussed the MP5 and MP6 being the 19mm hexed wheels. Either way, that means that Proline MIGHT make some rims that'd fit, provided the offsets are right. You might want to call up a local hobby shop and ask them if they have some MP6 rims in stock.
