Has anyone thought about buying one of these? I has thought about maybe buying the Traxxas 1/5th buggy but Traxxas and I don't get along. When I came across the information about the firehammer a few weeks ago I was thinking that it's Duratrash, but hell Duratrash never earned their heckled name with me but I just liked the name Duratrash better than Duratrax. So back to my story, is anyone planning on getting one of these?

A guy at the LHS just showed me an ad for it in a magazine today. It's almost $900.
Big, 1/5 scale, and it looked great. It's also a Gas engine, rather than nitro, so you know it will be a very dependable runner. Not enough info on it yet, but I'm tempted.

I just dont have the room for a 1/5 scale right now. I think XTM has a 1/5 buggy coming out also.

I read a couple reviews of it and it actually sounded pretty good. I thought it look pretty cheasy in my book, and looked cheaply made, but who knows. And yeah the Xtm one is out (1/6th scale) and looks identical to the Duratrax one. Both have the 23cc gas powered engines.

I wonder what Sky and ED are going to say when I tell them they need to buy one so mine does not feel lonely. Regardless, they'll probably jump on the bandwagon shortly after I buy one, they always do...

Pirata, you mean "duracrap" lol. But duratrax has been improving over time, I just purchased a used evader st for $75 and I like it so far. It will really get a test at the track tommorrow.

Dam I didn't know we had a track in minnesota. Now I am thinking of getting one of these.

Where is the trackk in Minnesota? I'm coming to Minneapolis for the weekend of October 7th, can you give me an address?

I've got your bandwagon, right over here...bee-otch.

Just because financially you were able to get your toys before me...does not make me a rider on your coat tails or your bandwagon.

As for this 1/5 or 1/6 scale RC thing, I had looked into a couple since Debbie's has a couple. They look pretty hefty, but finding parts support looked kind of dicey. So I decided to steer clear until something substantial came along.

At the moment, I am looking more towards getting back into boats/hydroplanes since I have a decent sized lake behind my house.

Sooooo...go out and get your big-assed RC...I'll watch and shoot footage of it in action. But don't expect me to join that particular club until I have a separate shed for my RC hobby. No room to store something that big anywhere in my house...at the moment.

I can't find the dam adress. But I found this.
Hideaway Speedway Isanti MN Leroy Nelson (763-444-4011)
What are you coming to mn for?

I'm going to MN for a graphics printing show, SGIA. I won't have enough time to go too far away from downtown, I'll have to map it out, and see if a taxi is worth it.
