Dual fuel filter layout recommendations.

I decided to go with an additional fuel filter instead of a dual pickup tank. What is the recommended distance between the two filters ? I was thinking of running the filters pretty much one after the other. But a second filter is new to me and wanted the experts inputs. Thanks.

why would you put two filters?

I would throw about an inch inbetween.
