Thank you for this form, Skymaxx as well as others have been great on giving a forground towards my recent purchase of a savage. Honestly thanks, so far it is a very tough car.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the GPM HPI Savage dual exhaust tuned pipe and if it gave a huge difference in performance? There are many aftermartket or upgrades when it comes to pipes and I was wondering if any of them were worth it.

Thanks!
Craig

Also, When I Apply the brake it kills the engine? I noticed throtle and brake run off the same servo but did not notice any comments in manual.

Welcome to RCNT the holiday's has brought many newbies and all are welcome. Ok for pipes you have many choices, I know rdlogics makes one. Check them out at http://rdlogics.com/store/C_23.htm
There are many different alternatives for pipes from cheep to really expensive. I suggest you do a search on www.towerhobbies.com for a savage tuned pipe and see what comes up.

Thanks for the info, My neighbor purchased a Mamoth and I read on the Forums and decided to get the savage. His son wanted to get into it and I suggested the TMaxx due to it's easy use and a flat frame to work on. So we now have three different cars and each one has their own unique aww well.... you know.

I do not put a lot of stock in dual exhaust set ups. Depending on the design, you may not get the proper back pressure to the engine and fuel tank. Some swear by them; I swore I would never use one.

I just road tested an RD Logics one piece pipe on my Savage. Note that until then I was running the stock pipe (old composite material Savage .21 style pipe) with great performance. When I put the RD Logics pipe on, the sucker just got quicker. Great pipe. I'd recommend it...and will be doing so via a write up on it here shortly.

BTW, Welcome to RCNT and a great hobby!

Thanks for all of the Great Info, I will look into the RD Logics Pipe.

well I've used the GPM/CVEC Pipes on my Savage... Works perferct for the 21BB and S-25 but TERRIBLE for the WASP/PICCO 26 engines. I myself have the RDLogics and it is sweet... any one-piece exhaust system is good for it.
