Does anyone use this and does it increase performance?

I dont think it would increase performance, because the is no backpressure. They are loud as hell too. On the stock engine, or any engine for that matter, a good tuned pipe and header is all ya need.

Could you recommend a decently priced tuned pipe/header? I don't want to spend too much though. Also if possible, one that doesn't make the tmaxx extremely louder than it does now.

I actually had that pipe. It makes the engine sound really high pitched, and makes it sound weak. i didnt feel any performance gains with it either.

WHich pipes do you have experience with and had performance increase?

That makes sense I had a 67 Chevelle and I put headers on it, and then I drove it across town with straight headers to the muffler shop you should have seen the looks I got lOl anyway it was gutless!! after I got the exaughst installed it gave it back pressure and it made a HUGE differece.

Hahaha. I will be doing the same thing with my '67 mustang. That thing is so choked up with stuff on the engine, its not even funny. Back to the subject, i have had experience with the THS and the GH setup. I like the THS setup, but the Cvec setup out the back is definitly sweet. Go with what your budget allows. The GH system sounds wimpy and high pitched. The THS pipe gives some power, but nothing other than dropping in a more powerful engine will give you a major performance boost.

The MIP pipes work good for the .15 don't know if they are good for the 2.5...for the 2.5 I like the slimeline dual rear exhaust, cheap good performance and reasonably quiet.....thick guage metal too so it can take a beating and it sits behind the tower so it's pretty protected....you can use your existing header and cut it to perform better...

I am running a MIP tuned pipe on my TRX 2.5 It sounds great and gives a sweet mattalic buzz sound and is some what quieter then the stock plastic pipe

yeah that buzz is pretty specific to their pipes.....kinda sounds like a big wasp....guess that's why they call em stingers...

The sirio big bore pipe is the only pipe I have had that I have noticed any kind of
gain in power high and low.. plus it has a mean sound to it ...+ :2cents:

i use the ths pipe and have no complaints. the sound isnt really quiter or louder than stock but u can feel a difference in power IMO.

Does anyone us the RD Logics Tuned Pipe? Opinions on it? Also is there a greater increase in performance by upgrading the pipe verses just the air filter?

if you are running the 2.5 then I don't upgrade the air intake....it causes you to loose some adjustablity in the needle settings....you tend to run the setting closer to the rich side (it's not running any richer though it's just the balance of of more air through the intake vs the stock one).....and I ran into situations where I couldn't make the engine any richer to balance my air to fuel ratio....I may have had the wrong size intake but I can say w/ the 2.5 engine just get a big ol head and an aftermarket pipe.....I liked the slimeline cause it gave a little more horses and it dumped out the rear of the truck so it eliminated the slime coating on it from nitro fuel........I use the RD logics pipe w/ a P2 and it sounds like a motocross bike....I don't know about HP gain cause I got the pipe w/ the engine and the engine is ballistic by itself

ANyone heard anything good about the Hot Bodies tuned pipes?
