would it be a good idea to put 2 carbs on an engine?
and have a Y junction with 2 carbs on it would it increase performance :hammer:

It would be a hastle tunning it. Ever try tuning a multicarb setup on a 1:1? At least on a 6pack (triple carbs) only the center works under normal operation. WOT brings in the 2 reserve carbs.

I don't think it would really make a differnce, unless you could up the compression and intake on a engine, then you might see a differnce.

Don't try it unless you are looking to be a NASA scientist.....

I can't see much of a performance boost happening there. Keep in mind that the engine can only take in so much air. As far as an engines intake, that maximum volume would be to take the carb completely off. If you had 2 carbs that opened to say.... 120% of that area... the last 20% would be a waste.

keeping 2 tuned isn't as hard as most people think it is... you treat everything the same except you make the adjustment twice. The most important thing about running 2 carbs (in twin engine setups that is) is setup. you got to get them setup as close as possible. Linkage is the key.
