I am going to a local track and I was wondering when u hold your truck in the air and drop it when will it bottom out.
My truck will bottom out at 2 feet
also what are your shock positions mine are
At the top they are in middle positon and stock position on the bottom I am running Trinity extra firm springs in all 4 corners with 50 wt oil in all 8 and the biggest pre loaded spacers on all 8 shocks. this setup will bottom out at 2 feet. what is yours set at
I know I should go out and test for my self but but I have limited fuel and I was wondering what other people run

I can drop mine about 3 1/2 feet and they dont bottom out but very close I diddnt want to make to much noise my baby daughter is sleeping :) . I have the shocks set on the stock holes but I have 6 Dynamite aluminum shocks that have adjustable spacers built on them and I have them set halfway down the shock my very front 2 are big bore aluminum traxxas shocks with no spacers.

Here is a pic so you can see how my shock are it doesn't have all four right now on the front since I crashed it and snapped 2 of them in two

No problem she usally will sleep through anything she is a heavy sleeper but diddnt want to wake her just in case :)

thats great random oils and u would never know lol
and were did u get that long intake for your air filter I want one

I bought it on ebay lol The entire truck was built and bought off ebay.. It would be easy to make one my lhs sell aluminum tubing all you would have to do is bend it around the tranny and the servos. It needs an adapter of some type where the blue rubber part is its to big for the carb I Zip tied it and there is no leaks but I would like to fix it right.

I've only ran it once with out it and once or twice with it and your right wasn't much diffrent looks cool though, do you think it might help at high speeds kind of like a ram air system? I wouldnt know the only time I had it at top speed I wasn't driving it hehe all I was thinking was oh sh** OH SH**!!!!!!

these engines pull so many RPMs that the vacuum they create would be pulling air in faster than you could force it down it's throat.....as for the support I saw a how to I think on this site about making a plate that uses your tranny case screws to hold it in place......real easy project, just needed a drill w/ a bit for the tube and a bit for the holes to mount the screws to the tranny case.....

mine will bottom out at 3 feet. Stock baby!!!! Yeah !!!

oh, and I also have the big spacers in the back to do wheelies!

Just watch out. if you put too thick of an oil or too stiff of a spring, and you jump it high enough, you will snap a shock tower or bulkhead (assuming you have the stock plactic ones.).
