I'm hearing some noise in one or both diffs on my 18B. It sounds like gear strippage. What's most likely, differential failure, or ring and pinion stripping? I'm guessing a bunch of you have seen this stuff happening on your rigs. The noise isn't super loud yet, and it runs strong on the ground, but when I hold it in my hand and hit the throttle one front wheel does not spin. I've installed CVDs, and I have super diffs on hand. Is there a tougher gear upgrade that might come recommended?

my diffs were like that and the gears were fine it was just the little balls that are in there were starting to wear down

thanks LESSEN and REIGHARD53

I hadn't even thought about the steel balls in the differential. I've stripped spur gears in my nitro cars and it was pretty loud and sudden. Makes sense. It didn't even occur to me while I was looking at the super diff assembly drawing. Sheeeesh!!!

I think the super diffs are pretty much the standard. Is it the stock diffs that are noisy right now?

Diffs are stock plastic. Probably hammered.
