I have a duramax nitro st, and the driveshafts keep popping out of the yokes on the diff/tranny. I've checked to see if they are bent, but they are straight. What can i do to fix this.. I've taken apart the rear end and cleaned everything to see if it was dirt and grime that was not letting it seat properly in the yokes but it does the same thing.I'll be driving and then out of no where the shaft is off the yoke and the truck goes nowhere.. If any of you could help that would be great.
Thanks in advance -Ryan-

hey,

how long have you had the truck? the yokes could be worn out, if the yokes are plastic they will get softer from flexing and it will keep getting worse. i had the same problem on a traxxas nitro sport. i raced it on a clay oval track a few years ago and put a new 2.5 motor on it. when i would come out of the corner spinning the tires it was o.k. but when it got traction in would pop the driveshafts out instantly. to much motor for the plastic yokes , i had to upgrade to mip cvd's. i have seen some guys put a small plastic wire tie around the yoke to squeeze on the driveshaft " A VERY DESPERATE MEASURE" but you could try it. :)

You can put a small piece of fuel tubing on the inside of the out-drives to keep them from popping out.
