Hello, Newbie here. I recently bought a tmaxx used from a kid and its been making me pull my hair out replacing and fixing and tunning. And I think I finnaly got everything running tip top shape and I was out in my front yard jumpig it on my megshift jump I built and in the proccess I managed to break the rear yolk and driveline. So I drove to my lhs and got new ones. and now I can't get the little four pronged metal ball bearing inside the yolk or the dive line been trying to do this for a while. any advice on doing so? I've been kinda in the crowd reading all these forums and really impressed. I pretty much learned how to tune my tmaxx from this web site so thank you to all those many threads on that topic. also I just got my hands on a temp gun and I read somewhere the operating temp. What is that again? Thanks for every ones time.

i believe the safe Traxxas recommended temp limit is 270F. as for the drive shafts i believe you just have to shove it in. I never had to replace my drive shafts though i did take them apart when i put the 3.3 tranny in just because i wanted to see how they go. the only way i was able to get them apart was to break one of the plastic tabs.
its a really tight fit but it should just shove in with a good amount of force. someone correct me if i am wrong and there is a legit way.

The drive lines just slide apart I got them off just fine. no problem. But the stupid yolk and drive line connection. That little metal peice wont go in. Beleive you and me I've tried using force on them little guys but it doesn't seem like those plastic prongs even spread apart at the least. Judging by the lack of replies I'm assuming this doesn't happen very often? Thanks for the operating temp. If I ever get this thing put back togeather I'll check it out. (Excuse my spelling, I'm sure we can all manage. Its never been a stong point of mine.)

Get the plastic warm. Use a heat duct or a hair dryer. Then push it on like it stole something from ya. If that don't work, order pre-assembled replacements I guess. They shouldn't hurt too bad.
