could one of you drifter guys post up a steb-by-step how to, for making the pvc tires? does anyone in here uses pvc tires?

Not yet but if you did not check out the hpi drifting video check it out & yokomo has a notro drift car to

Simple - get an extra set of wheels, and buy some black ABS piping (2" ID - I think - bring your wheel with you to check). Use a chop saw or some other cutting set up that will allow you to keep the cuts square, and cut the piping 1" or so (depending on width of the wheel). Then press them over the wheels (sometimes challenging) and run a bead of glue around the backside, make sure to cover the wheel and tire.

thankz just one doubt, i insert the wheel into the abs piping with or without tire???

without. your diameter will be huge if you have a tire on also. i had also tried the electrical tape around the tires, that works pretty decent too.

Not long ago, there was a thread on making drift tires with ABS pipe. I've been searching for it, but I haven't been able to find it. Pics were included.
Drop a PM to Kwong, since I know he's done it. There are a few numbers after the name Kwong, so check the members list, and PM him from there.
He might be able to direct you to the right thread.

Okay, its kwong2001. It wouldn't surprize me if he answers you here later. He's on Hawaiian time.

I have not made any, but have read up on it and it's pretty simple. Like trackbound described. Get a simple set of touring car wheels that fit your car. No tires. No inserts. Head on down to your local hardware store and check out their PVC pipe. Find a size that will fit over the wheel quite snugly. Take a length home and chop off pieces that are as wide as your wheel. Press them onto the wheel and glue them in place. Some people will round the edges with sandpaper to smooth them, but that's all there is to it...

okay thanks to all for your replies, every opinion counts

Just found this cool link for pvc tires, look at the pictures carefully, because the explanation is in some asiatic language i think
