Has anyone on here ever customized their tmaxx chassis??

If you did, what did you do to it??
What tools/cutters did you use??

Pics would be nice too!!

I have some ideas of my own.

I have.
I used pictures of t maxx chassis off other websites
I first drilled small holes along the line I was going to cut then I used a Dremel cutting disk bit thing and it worked fine.
If you have any other Q's you can ask me and I can tell you from my experiances.

What kindof drill bit is best for aluminum?? does it matter??
Also, which chassis did you model your cuts of off, the tmaxx racing chassis??

thanks,
adrian

Just about any bit will go through Al just look at the package to see if it will work with metals.
If you go to Google and type in T Maxx chassis and go to the images section it has a bunch of chassis pics just pick one.

instead of cutting your chassis why dont you just buy a light weight chassis from integy for $29 bucks and save you the hassleand you will also have a spare if anything happens to your new one????????

I didn't know integy made a lightweight chassis.

How much lighter is it that the stock 2.5 chassis?

thanks,
adrian

well when i held the 2 together the new one is quit a bit lighter and it has the cutout for the exhaust and a lot more if i get my pics done i will post them go to www.integy.com and look for LW Chassis for t-maxx

I will check it out.. I have been looking for ways to lighten up the tmaxx.

adrian

if your looking for ways to lighten up your truck and to strengthen up your truck to try out there aluminum skid plates they are lighter then the stock plastic ones and they are 10X stronger too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tac if you want to lighten your MT up then get some aftermarket tires,Lose the EZ start, get a RX pack, and lose the reverse if you havent already
