Hi smoke here... this has been on my mind for a while now. I want to take a tmaxx and replace the front tires with slicks and the back to of course but take out the rear driveshaft. So in all you would have a front shaft driven dragger? Could it be possible and healthy for the engine?

i think it would allow the trans to spin to fast becuase there is not enough resistance but i could be wrong.

its possible, the sport max is a rear 2wd truck. its just missing the front shaft and diff. but i think you would have traction issues running front wheel drive since all the weight transfer would be to the rear when you launch. you would need alot of added weight over the front tires to get any decent traction. I've lost rear wheel drive in my savage before and the front tires just spun alot.

well i took my stock t-maxx and took the rear driveshaft out and the front wheels would hop. the truck would only go a couple miles an hour. also this was on gravel so it might not apply to asphalt. not quite shure

I would have to agree you would need extra weight over the front end to get any tracktion, I have lost rear wheel drive befor as well and the front tires just spun like crazy...

Just put slicks on the front and back and have an all wheel drive dragster. I don't think a front wheel drive truck would work to good, just alot of wheel spin. If you want it to be 2-wheel drive, use the rear wheels it would probably work a lot better with weight transfer and all.

yeah guys i get what your sayin what would i have to do to the maxx to put a bigger motor on it? Stock maxx parts of would i have to replace tranny?

well I just had an issue where I installed my diff backwards so my Maxx ran the wrong direction...rear wheel steering was pretty interesting...as soon as the EZ start finishes charging I"m going out to run it with RWD only (going the correct direction) and check out the jump I built last night...

I think i'd do RWD save the FWD for an onroad car and put the huge slicks up front like all the ricer drags do it...
