My Savy RTR is doing well with about eight tanks through it. Put the cam servo saver on it the other day and now I've got the four-gear diff upgrade to install (which came with the RTR)...

I figured I put them in now before I break something...

My Savy has been used mainly around the yard and small jumps. I will be looking for a construction site soon to tear up some dirt though... :boxing:

What do you Savy experts recommend for diff oil? I heard competing recommendations on what works best in front and rear. Can I go cheap and use the same weight front and rear, or should I really do two different weights?

Thanks for any advice offered...

i use 10000wt front and 3000wt rear. hooks up sweet. the front traction is sick the front end is lighter and less torque than the rear, but when it corners it handles sick. i raced it last weekend and going into and out of croners the traction was insane. not loosing control or anything just straight grippin.

i put 7000wt in front and back if you are gong to be doing jumps and stuff like that i think you should go with a hight wt like 5000wt 7000, 10000 ect. put the same wt in front and back so that you get equal power to front and rear or put different wt in front and rear so that you get more power to front or to rear. i think that's how different wt effect it. some one will correct me if i am wrong. :)

me I use castrol 80w90 gear oil in both front and rear diffs been in there for several months now with no issues. I bash as well as do organized racing.
