Hi,

I've seen those before, I think the speed is because the one tested had a big block in it. i wouldn't get it though, I've yet to see a place that has replacement parts...if they were really good, you'd see them left and right at the track...for that price, i'd look towards an HPI nitro3 or an AE NTC3 RTR. Those have more potential and upgrade options than the CEN

i dont really want one for the same reason of they arent that popular. i just wanted to know if anyone had one.

oh if you dont mind me asking what part of ny you in? if you dont want it out in the open you can pm me.

it's no biggie,

I'm in Queens, I live near NYC Hobbies. There are a couple of other people here who go there too

oh ok. have you ever been to 105 hobbies? thats the one i go to.

that car has a nice top speed but it takes so longgggggg to get it there its not that much fun.

Nice guys in that LHS. Pete and Billy have always been accomodating and give good prices. Vito used to work in there for many years. Mike Mal has been working with Brooklyn Hobbies since last year. If you need anyone in the electric area to help you, Johnny T is the one to go to. He's a fellow racer from out on the island at South Shore Hobbies where I race carpet. Vito now works at NYC Hobbies, where NSantana, sl0eg1n and myself go.

As far as the Cen, it's very hard as far as parts support is concerned. I've seen a few. They're not very performance oriented as far as tracks are concerned. It's mostly for bragging rights in the speed category. To get it to the 70+ mph speed claim, it takes a very big straight.

Diver i didnt know you live in NY. I've only been to 105 3 times. so i dont really know them well. the first time i went there i was getting my nitro rs4mt back to life. the big guy with the savage in the back replaced my clutch and retuned my engine. the second time i went i was there getting new rims and tires. the third time i was getting my stripped screws taken out and getting new fuel lines. the old dark skinned guy hepled me out. i think he was a serpent( not sure about the car) he told me he races in brooklyn on the weekends. cool group of guys. do you know if they are registered here?

The older guy is Billy. He lives in the apt above the shop. His car is a Mugen MTX-4. He also races an MRX-4. He races down in brooklyn with me at Floyd Bennet Field during the FRRacers events. We have also raced up in Connecticut together.

The other guys that I mentioned are not registered here. 710baby, here on the forum, used to drive for 105 as well as help out at the store till he moved to Florida last fall.

Billys a cool guy only charged me 5 bucks to remove my engine. the first time i went there with a freind of mine he told me his car went 80 or 90 mph. that right there got my freind wanting to get into the hobby.

you serious? thats preety fast. he does that on the track? he has a 3 speed on that? he told me he was using a .21 but i forgot to ask which one. does his car take flight when it gets that fast? i might want to go watch one of these racing in person now.

The 1/8 is an onroad racer. Yes it has a .21 engine and only 2 speed. ROAR only allows 2 speeds. The 1/10 touring cars will hit mid to high 50's on a track, depending on gearing and body design. touing cars are limited to 2 speeds, 3port engines and other limitations dealing with body, weight and pipes.

The schedule hasn't been set yet, but if you go to FRRacers.com, the dates for racing and other announcements will be made. For the CT races, those are coordinated by Tom Sr from Bruckner hobbies in the Bronx. His Website is Brucknerhobbies.com Look under the BARCAR section for scheduling.

There are alot of things being looked at and scheduled as far as classes in the BARCAR races. Open outlaw (bring whatcha got) is starting to boom now for the club level as well as the Electric classes (touring, 1/12 pan and full open mod). Chavo (BARCAR) races with me on carpet and also during the nitro season. Check the sites I stated for updates, I will keep the other racers and those interested in racing, informed as far as racing classes & opening day.

thanks Diver i got my nrs4 mt from brucknerhobbies in the bronx. thats another place i like going to. i havent been there in a while. some guy refered me to the mt as my first nitro and till this day i wont regret is. I'm going to look at those sites thanks again.
