hey all!! my maxxx works great, will do wheelies allday long!! but the freakin thing goes through a tank of fuel in 10mins or less,is that normal???

If your wide open all the time then prob yes..I have a 2.5 and i can eat a tank in ten min or so..It all depends on how you drive your rig..I'm new to this its based on my experience ! unless its not properly tuned in but it sounds like it is, maybe these more experienced drivers will have a little more input.

Sounds about right.

I was lucky to get 8 minutes out of my Ninja .21.

Yeah it is normal if you are running it rich. If your running it rich its gonna suck fuel. But its better to have it to rich then to lean cause if its real lean you will burn a hole in the piston. But yeah it all depends on your tuning.

yess, my revo make maybe 10-12 minutes also but from hard bashing, if i bash like i hvae been laely i get like 17 mins cause i have no brakes so i had to step it down a little bit for now

ok its gettin colder here in canada and now my maxx is burning a full tank of fuel in just over 5mins, its still working awesome, still doing wheelies but........thats alot of fuel!!!!........anybody got any tunining tricks thats gonna save some fuel but keeper working good????.......its such a hard call to make.....slow it down or save fuel???.....FYI it seems to be getting hotter now with the colder weather, it was 235f now its running 270f!?!?.......does that seem rite to u guys??

As odd as it might seem, you need to run richer when it's colder. You can cover the head with an infant sock cuff or some foil to get the temps up a little more. You might also want to run a lid without a cutout in the windshield.

ok I'm confused ur telling me to run at a hotter temp, when its already running @ 270f????........and if i run it richer isnt it gonna burn more fuel???........sorry bud i dont mean to second guess u but that really doesn't seem rite to me!?!?.......but then again I'm a 3week virgin to this hobby so i guess i really shouldnt have an opinion.......anyone else agree????

could the cold weather make me burn more fuel without sacrificing the way my maxx is working????......is there a way to fix that without sacraficing power?????and to be honest I've seen youtube videos and my maxx is way faster then anything on there,i dont mean to brag but even the guy at my LHS says he never seen a maxx work like mine.......if i load the shocks in 2nd gear she will wheelie soon as i punch it!!!!......i love my lil truck, just wish i didnt have to burn a tank of fuel in 5mins to keep it working this good

It is normal to have to run richer when it is cold out. This is because the air is denser.....denser air needs more fuel. I am pretty sure Rolex is talking about when it get real cold out if you are running you may have a hard time keeping temps up. A sock is better than leaning it out to keep up the temps. Oh yeah and that run time is pretty normal.

lol but the revo aint got poop on the maxxx besides handling.......u and i both know that the maxx is faster outta the box then ur revo.....so what I'm thinkin is keep ur pussyass revo on the track and let me BASH|!!!!!!!!..........revo=hadeling.............TMAXX=topspeed & donuts & wheelies!!!!!
