Took you long enough. The Yankees have been on their vacation for over a week now....

Oh, and you do know you put up a 3rd place smiley, didn't you? Sorry man, you've already jinxed them. Nuthin you can do now.

Pfffft.

The Twins will get :bowned: by the A's.

I didnt even see the 3rd place..lol. (There I edited it..lol). Rob would ya like to make a friendly wager?
Twins in 4 or less. Id say 3 but I've been a oakland fan since the canseco days, so I will give them a game, just for that..haha

Yeah u got the batting tittle and the Cy young. But the MVp will go to Jeter. Coach of the year is Leyland and the World Series Champs will be the Yankees. I mean come on! What team has a better lineup? Yeah! Didn't think SO!!

Oh! Almost forgot! Andy, you did get another thing right! The Twins are a 3rd place team! lol

Haven't they had the better lineup since 2000 when they last won?

Your right. Jeter will probably get MVP, only because hes so overrated. ::Burn:: Marneau deserves it. poop Mauer deserves it more than him. Gardenhire is a shoe in for the manager of the year spot. The Twins had one of (If not) the best turn around in baseball history.
Yankees are the most overpayed and overrated team in baseball. Theyre lucky they aint playing the twins. Theyd be out in 3 games. Even with Detroit Slumping there going to struggle. They did have a better lineup in 2000 because now everyones old on the team..lol..

Jeter? MVP? On that stacked line up? NO way. Give it to the reciever who caught the CY Young winner, and who won the batting crown. That or the Big Hurt, he has NO protection in that line-up! He carried that teams O for weeks on end.

Jeter = OVER.............RATED

Sorry guys. Jeter NOT overrated. He's the anchor on that whole squad.
I'm a Yankees fan. Yes I am. And it pains me to have to say it. But...

Overrated=A-Rod.

Now all that being said, they still tied for best record in the league this season.

Jeter over rated? Check his stats! Ask anyone true baseball and ask'em if you had to pick any 5 guys in baseball to start your team around? Jeter would be one of them. Look as his talent on and off the field.

LOL, look at the stats in his last couple of postseasons. Dont get me wrong, he is a great player,just NOT the MVP. Why do you need "glue" to hold a line up together that is the highest paid in baseball,by a TON? They still would have won the division with-out him in the line-up. Twins would not have made the playoffs without either one of their 2 big bats. A's would not have won w/o the Big Hurt. But his lower average hurts him.

This season
Jeter .343 14 HR 97 RBI 34 SB
Maur .347 13 HR 84 RBI 8 SB
Morneau .321 34 HR 130 RBI 3 SB

A-rod overrated? Are you kidding me? Check his stats up until this year...and include last year...he did win some kind of award last year didnt he? PLEASE dont say,"yeah,but..." The guy has done in with good teams(Sea,NY) and a BAD team with no line-up protection(Tx). He is overrated compared to...what?

personally i'm a NL guy,so I dont really care that much about the AL,just giving a honest assesment! That and I think ANY AL team in the playoffs would beat whoever the NL sends this year.

The Mets have a great team this year, but as usual they fell apart in the end.
The down slide will probably continue.
The Yankee's having a high payroll doesn't etch anything in stone, but I still think that they will get to the series.

I agree with Psu. Jeter is a very talented baseball player. One of the most consistant players to come along in a long time, but this year I think the only reason hes even being considered for the mvp award is because he's so squeeky clean and "Mr. GQ".

I see the guy most deserving of the MVP put the BIG HURT twice against your twins. At home too. That's gotts hurt. A's-1 Twins-0
