I bought a Hitec 7966 digi coreless for my throttle servo and I've got the futaba micro failsafe installed. In PP mode everything functions as it should, failsafe works as it should. When I switch to HRS mode, my steering servo (digi) works as it should, but the throttle servo does nothing. I suspect it's the failsafe. I've looked for compatability issues and found nothing.

any thoughs before I pull it apart?

wont take long to remove the failsafe so i say go for it. i have heard that some failsafes wont function correctly in digital modes but I'm no expert at all

3PM radio. I just read that it has a failsafe mode is used in HRS mode only, so perhaps this accounts for the interference with the servo.

which is good, then I don't need the added weight of the failsafe.

Just use the failsafe that's built into that radio. I have a 3pm and that's what I use in HRS mode. Pull the other f/s out and try it.

I also use the 3PM and actually the built in FS works in either mode. Just if you're not using HRS mode you have to go through and reset it every time you turn the radio on.

good to know. I've never fully explored the manual until now, learning a lot about a radio I've had for 2 years.
