Okay guys sold off my Revo lookin to upgrade the SCX10. I have been looking at a dig unit. What is the primary function on a dig unit?:ponder2: Will be doing a Wraith axle conversion soon also.

Two primary functions of a dig on a shafty, to put the rear axle into "neutral" and to "lock" the rear axle, so free wheel and fully locked up no movement. Lots of times you wont want the rear tires to be helping in sticky situations, thats where the dig comes in. Very useful in making very tight turns too.

And when climbing the back wheels want to pass up the truck making it flip so when the rear wheel free rolling it helps climb better sometimes

Dig units are not as common on scalers like they are on a comp crawler, I have seen a lot more 2 speeds then dig units, also for a dig unit you will need to have a transmitter with a adjustable 3 position 3rd channel. just my 2cents.

Depends n what you want to use it for for the transmitter. I have an EPA on mine that I an use with a 2 position third channel.
