Question,

How often should you overhall diffs if at all. And what type of grease or lube should you use? I am thinking about going to spider diff's do they really make that much of a difference?

Also, I have been using some type of additive that came with my trinity start up kit that has you apply it after use in the motor as well as air filter. I have been using it as directed. Is it really that important? I have always stayed with the thought preventative maintanance is cheaper than the alturnative.

Craig if you are going to do the diff mod than it would be wise if you used diff fluid instead of grease. I have run my truck recently after completing the diff mod and wow it made a great difference for me. I was going full speed with the 21BB mind you and it handled every turn. Ok what you are putting in the engine should be after run oil and as for the air filter that is a new one on me. You should be cleaning the air filter about every five tanks or so.

.I guess I should clarify, when I stated grease I meant what to use, and as for air filter it stated to place a few drops of after run solution in the carb, not air filter. sorry.
 
Ok to answer your questions again. I understand that if you do the diff mod you will not have to overhaul your diffs nearly as often as you would otherwise. Even guys running big 26's have said after checking their diff's after a gallon of use everything was swell. As for what go's in them diff mod or not I suggest some Silicone diff fluid. I tend to like Mugen-Seki fluid but I think it is all the same as long as it's silicone. I am running 5k weight in both diffs. Some guys run different weights. Ok the additive you are putting is a good thing it should be after run oil. This will pro long the life of your engine very well. Sounds like you are doing things wisely. Right on! Thanks NTFAN for the Info, I am a little nervous getting into the diff's I purchased the RTR 25.

However, everything that I have tackled so far has been pretty easy if time and care is taken!
