Ok so, I'm going to order some stuff from tower, and while I do it I might as well get some oil so, What weight would you recommend for just a casual basher? I'ver head 10k up from and 5k in rear, to what I think was 50k in front and like 30k in the rear while flipping through posts. Also do you have a favorite brand? Any reason? And I also read that the lighter oils leak out quicker is that true? I'd like to get the most time out of it before I need to replace it.

I got the HPI recommended GREASE. I am sure it would do you fine.

5K front and rear for just a basher. Or you can go a little heavier up front with 7K front, 3K rear. But I would start at 5K and see how you like it.

If you want your diffs to last a longer time between maintenance go with 4-gear mod-aluminum diff cups and aluminum gear boxes. Also shim your diffs so there is no slop between the pinion and ring gear.

I Have a 4.6 kit so I already got the 4 gear mod, but first I'll do the linkage mod run it for a while then rebuild the diffs with the oil. Oh and where can I get shims for the diff? Might as well compile a list of things to get since I rarely shop online.
