ok i keep ripping apart stock diffs so i need to upgrade. i am needing to know if the ue's 7.5 8 spyder setup will fit with the fastlane bulkless and if they do will they fit in the regular ones or do i have to get the 1/8 diffs. also...in the bulkless...do you not have to use the diff case you just have to put in all the gears and bolt the two sides together??and one more thing, is the 8 spyder stronger than the six because i have read it in another thread but i dont think it got clarified because thats why i will get the 8 for more strnghth!

I beleive it is the 7.5 gears that fit the fastlane setup.......and you do need to have the bulkless system that fits 1/8 scale gears....the stock gears are smaller.......

your asking about the wrong part but No the bulkless system has the Bulkheads and the housing case all in one unit....You do need to use the diff case which is the cup that bolts to the ring gear and hold the spider gears

depends on how you mean stronger.....The 6 gears won't have as much differential spininf between sides while still having power on the wheel.....the 8s will have more....unless you are seriously racing all out then just get stock 7.5 gears in your maxx w/ a fastlane setup....the 6 & 8 spider sets are BIG DOLLAH stuff

yeah thats what diffs i am getting i was just mainly wondering now if i should stick with diff housings and regular bulks or go with the fastlane bulkless 1/8.Any oppinions on the setup?

i like the fastlane bulkless, but i have them for regular diffs. UE also makes some bulkless. Expensive, but well worth it I'm sure.
 
the fastlane stuff is heavier but just as beefy....if your maxx has a bigger engine (I'm assuming that's why you're shredding Diffs) then you won't really notice the difference in performance unless you're one of those "I can shave 20grams off my chassis by stripping the anodizing off it" kind of guys.....I don't waste my time clocking how much faster an MT goes whenyou shave 1mm off the edge of your chassis and all that crap....yes the UE stuff is nice if you have bottomless pockets.....the FstlLn stuff is way stronger than 99.99% of the people in this hobby need.....I beat the crap out of my maxx and it still runs like a champ....I actually beat on it more than my buggies cause I run it at construction sites rather than a track.....anyway just get stock Kyosho diffs to start...if you strip those out (you shouldn't if you shim them right) then I'd say get a set of pre-built spyder diffs or something.....should be able to pick up a set of Kyosho diffs anywhere...they are like the industry standard...I see em on flea-bay fr a complete set (1 diff) around 15bucks all the time.....
 
Hmm Ijust looked at flea-bay and didn't see them anywhere....used to be a hobby shop in jacksonville, FL that parted out Kyoshos and sold the parts on e-bay for really good prices......sorry....holy crap I just looked up prices from my LHS and the only thing that is pricey is the Spur gear...35 bucks....
after all is said and done I'd just get the UE setup

that would be your best bet since you need all that stuff to build it from scratch anyway....so total you should be able to do fr/rr fro about 240......still less than the UE cases alone....
 
no you can get the fastlane bulkless on atomrcproducts.com for $130.
 
ok...to finalize...is the diff cup aluminum on the ue 6 spider diff? if not i am going to get the 8 spider. Also, are the ue diffs 1/8 to where i have to get the 1-8 scale bulkless or can i just get the regular hybrid bulkless??

you will have some pretty indestructable Diffs then my man.....I'd say worthy of a Sirio .27......you'll kill buggies w/ that set up.......I know my mutant maxx will catch em by surprise....and I'm using a fantom .27.....wait til next tax season and I'll get another sirio again...what a monster....
 
no time... i havent gotten the radio problem worked out yet, so i havent gotten to break er in the rest of the way. I liked it so far. After I'm done buyin the rest of my paintball stuff, ill save for a new radio.
 
you should get a paintball gun w/ an electric trigger....thenmount it to your T-maxx and use the 3rd channel for shooting it.....that would rock......what paintball guns have electric trigges now? my buddy had one and we made something really cool out of it for his car...hehehe.....I call it the road rage cure.....
