I have spent all day rebuilding the diffs in my Tmaxx to find out I need diff lube. I thought all I had to use was the bad horsie locker grease but it says on their website to put diff lube on the ring gear and output gear.

What kind of diff lube should I use?

Is this what I should be using?

Just some axle grease is fine, all your doing is providing lube for the ring gear.

Ok, thanks. Easy enough.

Case closed guys.

Those diffs were pretty bad. I found clumps/balls of hardened grease everywhere. I gave everything a good scrubbing with a toothbrush and it is all nice and clean again. I also sprayed the bearings down with wd-40, let them dry and now they are soaking in MMO. I cannot wait to see how these are all put back together!
