Hey guys, I just bought a set of FLM bulkhead and i want to change the diff gears before I put them on the rig, does any one know if the gear ratio can be changed from the stock ratio if yes where do I get the gears from and what ratio should i go with any help I can get with this is much appreciated thanks

Which bulks did you get?

FLM standard bulks use the stock diff; the ring/pinion ratio can not be changed.

FLM Combo bulks also use the stock diff gears; the ratio can not be changed.

FLM Hybrid bulks are designed to use 1/8th scale (buggy/truggy) diffs which will change the ratio.

I got the FLM combo they said that some older tmaxx gears may need to be replaced I don't know what that means my rig was an originally a .15 and it is older model are you saying that I may just swap the gears from my diff to the combos that i got

The old pro.15 diffs will fit with the correct size bearings, but you really don’t want to use them in a nice set of FLM Combo bulks. The old diffs are weak compared to the new style 3.3 sealed diffs.

I would just purchase a pair of 3.3 sealed diffs and bearings and drop them in the combo bulks.

Ok thanks for the info. you the man. one more question if you don't mind when I put this together do I fill with oil, grease, honey or ky. Soooo many different opinions out thr I don't know what to put in it.

If using sealed diffs you will want to use silicon diff oil in the cup; non-sealed diffs, heavy wheel bearing grease works well.

Thanks, I can't wait to start putting this together I was thinking of replacing my 3.3 eng with a ofna force.26 BB can't decide what's better it should be fun when I start. Thanks again for all your info and if you have any insite as for the power plant let me know.
