what is the piston skirt color suppose to be? top of the piston is gray the skirt is brownish color looking through the exhaust.:surrender????????????
 
it's blown when the piston head comes close to the edge of the sleeve...if it goes completely through you probably have a stretched conrod as well....the color CAN (not recommended to run that rich) be black and the piston / sleeve is still good......

i didnt take the head off yet didnt want to go that far if i didnt have to will i have to put another head gasket on then
