Will this clear silicone sealant http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXC031&P=7 work well for sealing back plates? I'm looking for the same effect as RTV sealant.

I wouldn't trust anything other than RTV red, available in any auto parts store. $5.

Yeah I agree with Rolex, go with Red for the higher temp.

I'm sure thatll work just fine. But i say stick with good ol' PERMATEX i use the permatex ultra copper sealer its good up to 750 deg. i belive!
